👀 FAVE FINDS

Swiss fans are going to have to work for their squad announcement: the women’s national team for Euro 2025 is being revealed via a country-wide scavenger hunt called “The Chase”. From 20–23 June, fans can hunt for clues at 23 secret locations—each spot revealing a player who’ll represent Switzerland at the home tournament. It’s a fresh, interactive way to get everyone buzzing for the Euros, and there’s even a little surprise for the finders. Read more
Rachel Yankey has launched a new foundation to make football more accessible to young girls, starting with affordable-to-play hubs in Brent and Westminster. The England legend’s initiative aims to break down barriers to entry, offering safe spaces, workshops, and diverse role models for girls aged 11–16. With only 23% of UK women having played on a team compared to 60% of men, Yankey’s work is a much-needed push for real change – and hopefully, a pipeline for the next generation of talent. ✍️ INSIDE TRACK
Transfer Round-up
→ Sam Coffey is staying put at Portland Thorns, having quietly extended her contract through 2027 – this news only recently surfaced despite the deal being completed last year. The US international and Thorns captain is a midfield mainstay for both club and country, and her commitment is a huge boost for Portland’s ambitions.
→ Chelsea is busy in the market, officially welcoming German forward Mara Alber from Hoffenheim and goalkeeper Livia Peng from FC Basel. Alber, a versatile 19-year-old, brings pace and creativity, while Peng adds depth between the sticks as the Blues rebuild for another title challenge. Both signings show Chelsea’s focus on youth and talent for the future.
RUMOUR HAS IT:
→ The rumour mill is buzzing around Swedish forward Felicia Schröder, who’s lighting up the Damallsvenskan with 12 goals and six assists in just 11 games. Chelsea and Barcelona are both heavily linked, but BK Häcken are desperate to keep her and is working on a new contract.
→ Ingrid Engen has left Barcelona as a free agent after a trophy-laden spell, and rumours about her next move are still swirling. While Lyon are favourites, London City Lionesses are also in the mix as they prepare for life in the WSL. Engen’s versatility and big-game experience make her a sought-after signing.
→ Arsenal are reportedly interested in Liverpool’s Taylor Hinds, with the England left-back seen as a strong defensive option for Renée Slegers’s squad. The Gunners are looking to strengthen at the back, and Hinds could be a smart addition if the deal gets done.
→ OL Lyonnes are in advanced talks with Ajax over the transfer of USWNT midfielder Lily Yohannes. The 18-year-old is considered one of the brightest young talents in Europe and is highly rated by both Emma Hayes and Sonia Bompastor. No deal has been finalised yet, but OL is pushing hard to secure her signature as part of their squad rebuild.
RETIREMENT:
→ And finally, German international Melanie Leupolz has announced her retirement at 31, closing a glittering career that saw her win league titles with Bayern Munich and Chelsea, plus major honours with Germany. Her emotional farewell message summed up a remarkable journey at the highest level.
👟 KIT DROP

Manchester United’s new home kit is all about the details – the dark collar and sleeves give the shirt real presence, drawing the eye in and making the red pop. The black piping is a bit of a grower, with a throwback '90s vibe that frames the body nicely. It’s a classic look, but with just enough edge to keep things interesting. Available now

Chelsea’s new away shirt is proof that simple can be seriously smart. The colour-blocked sleeve cuffs are a classy touch, while the textured fabric and vertical lines add depth without fuss. It’s a masterclass in how to do understated well—and a must for any Chelsea fan’s collection. Available from 19 June

Angel City’s “Immigrant City Football Club” shirt is a statement and a reminder that football is more than just what happens on the pitch. Over the weekend, players, staff, and 10,000 fans wore the black tees with “Los Angeles is for everyone / Los Ángeles es Para Todos” on the back, standing in solidarity with the city’s immigrant communities during a week of protests against ICE raids.
